Hoo Wee it is hot!
And it’s not just the weather, things are heating up in the By Definition camp as well. What with signing to IAA and our big announcement, things have been pretty crazy. And to top it off, tomorrow we get to spend 3 hours in a hot, sweaty studio (a nice little mental image for you). Still, it’s all worth it though, this week we’re going to be working on our set for our upcoming shows with Black Label Society. We figure if we’re going to be supporting one of the greats, we better put together something special for you lovely people. We should also be playing a warm up gig in Croydon on June 16th at The Scream Lounge, so if you can’t make it to Europe – but want to see what you’re missing – come and check us out. Should be a dynamite show!

By Definition to support Black Label Society

We said we had big news and god dammit if we weren’t telling the truth…

We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that we will be supporting Black Label Society for two shows on their European tour.

That’s right, By Definition are hitting Europe baby! So if you’re in Tilburg, Netherlands on the 18th June or Saarbrucken, Germany on the 19th June, come and check us out. It’s going to be CRAZY! See you mothers there!

Well, we HAVE been busy boys recently…

In addition to the fantastic news about IAA Touring, we played an awesome headline show at The Haunt for Black Sunday’s Southern Discomfort. Thanks again to Shaun for sorting it out. It turns out drinking whisky on stage feels nowhere near as cool as it looks. We’re so metal. We’ve also had a great show at The Green Door Store’s Metal Monday, supporting the mighty Hole In The Sky and Desolator. Thanks to all who came to either show, as always you make it all worthwhile. As an extra bonus, we’ve written a new song for your ear-balls, it’s called Warrior and it kicks ass – look out for it at our next show!

Otherwise, there’s lots of stuff being planned for the future. Some big things we can’t tell you about just yet (we assure you, it’s going to be AMAZING), and some great plans for the band in general. Greetings!

Been a while since we’ve posted on here, but it’s not like we’ve been twiddling our thumbs. Far from it in fact. Locked away in our sweat box of a rehearsal room we’ve been “hard at it” thrashing out a host of new jams to thrill and entertain; some of which we plan to air for the first time at our next show. Which conveniently is THIS Friday! Details of this grand occasion can be found HERE, HERE and HERE. Although if you’re in a rush, it’s at Belushi’s Below, Brighton – £4 on the door.

 

In other news, we’ve finally had some time to straighten out our YouTube channel a bit. Hoping to get some new footage soon, so there’ll be even more chances for you to laugh at our attempts at looking “cool”. In the meantime though, why not head over and subscribe? Or you could use this as the catalyst to creating your own channel. Or not. You know, free choice n’that.
